WELCOME
NOVEMBER 2011
To start off the New Year there is a Calendar Page with essential points to consider when framing. The Calendar can be printed if you wish. The images were taken at the Bridgewater Carnival on Friday 4 November this year.
The Image has changed and the colours used in the website reflect this change. From the feedback we received on the launch of the new website certain other elements have also been improved. For instance, the navigation buttons have moved to the top of every page so that they are always accessible.
One of the latest framing ideas and very contemporary is using acrylic for framing. Acrylic frames are now available in lots of different sizes and finishes. See an example on the Examples Page and ask for details.

SEPTEMBER 2011
I hope that you enjoy the new layout for the website and find it easy to navigate. These are the main changes:
this blog will allow me to tell of the latest developments in the framing world and with this website;
there is now an email link on the home page for easy access;
there is a rolling display on the home page of recent work completed;
there is now a links section. So, for example, this will allow you to access the professional body I am a qualified member of and understand the requirements necessary to be a professional framer;
we have added a new page which explains how the workshop allows me to effectively deal with any framing requirements;
I have expanded the page of examples to provide details of specific framing jobs
-
The quotes page has been changed to help you better communicate how you want to effectively display your artwork.
The website will be updated on a regular basis -

My Workshop
As you can see from the pictures and descriptions on the right, I have all the equipment I need to do a very professional framing job. A trainer once said to me, “if you mess up on this sort of equipment then you’ll only have yourself to blame”.
Conservation quality mount board, backing board and tapes are used as far as possible
and are included in the quote. Water white float glass is a fairly new product (doesn’t
have the green cast) and is used as standard although other types of glass e.g. anti-
I will frame most things so give me a call to arrange a home visit or a look around my workshop.
The Excalibur 5000 is a sheet material cutter that cuts vertically. It cuts matboard, glass, foamboard and acrylic easily, cleanly and accurately every time.
The Morso is a very rugged solidly built Danish machine which "chops" the frame moulding two corners at a time in its blades. As it cuts one mitre, it’s also cutting the next one in its dual blades. These machines are the mainstay of almost every professional framer in countries all around the world.
The Cassese CS88 is a foot operated underpinner and has been one of the most popular models of underpinner in the world for over 15 years, proving its reliability and reputation. It features a unique pully and cable drive system whereby the force applied on the foot pedal is tripled making it easier for the operator to drive nails into the hardest of timbers.
The Keencut Ultimat Gold is one of the most technically advanced, versatile and easy to use manual Mount Cutter in the world. Ultimat Gold is built to exacting standards and precision engineered to meet the requirements of the most skilled and creative picture framers.
